When his uncle dies, Max inherits the chateau and vineyard in the south of France where he grew up, but he then meets a potential rival to the inheritance, a young American who claims to be his illegitimate cousin. His first intention is to sell the vineyard as quickly as possible, but while spending time in Provence, Max "finds his soul when he loses his heart to a French beauty."
