Notes

Description
After emerging from the underground city of Ember, Lina and Doon are followed by the city's other inhabitants. Several days of wandering bring the Emberites to a town whose resources are limited, but nevertheless, they are welcomed, fed, and given shelter. Resentment quickly begins to grow and anonymous acts of vandalism push them toward violence, leading Lina and Doon to find a way to avoid war.
