Notes
Mary had to dash, but she checked in and before leaving told us she was working on Moby *** for the OLLI class, but also credits Bill & Carolyn with her current interest in this title!

Betty Jo joined us for the first time and shared this title. She clearly has similar tastes to the rest of the group, so we hope we see her again. She really enjoyed the understated way Shakespeare was brought into the story.
Notes
Claudia read and loved this one. The pacing and writing are first rate. She is now gobbling up Underground Railroad (linked next).

Wendy read this one. She came to it through a NYT article about Bennington. It left her interested in Tartt, Easton Ellis, and Letham. They all went to school together. Titles by them as well as The Goldfinch (Tartt's most recent book) are linked next.

Notes
Either Wendy or Claudia brought up this one. Claudia really liked it, Wendy wasn't as big of a fan. Kristin mentioned that she recently read and enjoyed The Sentence (set in Erdrich's book shop during the pandemic). The Sentence is linked next.

Notes
Kristin shared this title. It's a modern epistolary novel told exclusively in digital communication. It's a mystery and the reader can only see the digital back and forth, and not the actual in-person interactions, which makes it really interesting structurally. The actual mystery is not as cool as the structure...but it's worth a read.

Claudia had to wait a while to get her hands on this one, but really enjoyed the characters.
